LAS VEGAS — Josh Christopher scored 23 points to lead the Miami Heat to a 102-99 victory over the Golden State Warriors in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas on Sunday.
The game had a competitive start, as the Heat held a three-point advantage after one quarter. The Warriors picked up their play in the second and led for most of the game and had a two-point lead at halftime.
They kept the momentum going in the third and rallied to a 10-point cushion before the Heat cut it back to a five-point deficit heading into the final quarter. The Heat took their play to another level and started the fourth on a 17-6 run to claim a six-point upper hand midway through the quarter.
The Warriors made another push and gained a brief lead, but the Heat went 5-for-5 from the foul line in the last minute to seal the deal.
Christopher shot 7-for-15 from the field in his team-best scoring effort for the Heat. Pelle Larsson followed up with 21 points, four rebounds, six assists and four steals, while Kel’el Ware logged 18 points and five rebounds.
Kevin Knox II led the Warriors with a game-high 31 points on 12-for-17 shooting and added 11 rebounds and two blocks in 30 minutes off the bench. Pat Spencer followed up with 14 points and seven assists, while Quinten Post, Yuri Collins and Santiago Vescovi chipped in 10 points each.
The Heat will advance to face the Memphis Grizzlies in the Las Vegas Summer League championship Monday, while the Warriors finish Las Vegas Summer League play with a 4-1 record.
