LAS VEGAS — The Utah Jazz defeated the Detroit Pistons, 97-87, in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Sunday.

A 27-18 first quarter carried Utah in this wire-to-wire victory, as the team took command with a 40-21 second quarter. Detroit fought back with a 33-17 third quarter but never recaptured the lead after that lofty deficit. The Jazz shot 41.0% from three-point range (16-for-39) and 88.2% from the free-throw line (15-for-17) while holding the Pistons to 32.4% from long range (12-for-37) and 68.8% from the charity stripe (11-for-16).

The Pistons (2-3) were led by Ron Holland II, who finished with 23 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Tolu Smith totaled 12 points and four rebounds. Bobi Klintman collected 11 points, two rebounds and three assists, while Marcus Sasser amassed six points, four rebounds and six assists.

The Jazz (3-2) were led by Kyle Filipowski, who compiled 26 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals. Max Abmas accrued 23 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals. Armando Bacot had 11 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Taevion Kinsey tallied nine points, five rebounds and seven assists. Kenneth Lofton Jr. led the bench with 10 points, four rebounds and four assists.

That marks the end of the Summer League for both teams.
