LAS VEGAS — David Jones scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 103-98 victory over the Boston Celtics in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on Sunday.
The 76ers jumped out to a quick nine-point lead to begin the matchup, but the Celtics rallied back to claim a 33-30 edge after one quarter. The Celtics kept the momentum going and pushed to a 10-point lead before Philadelphia brought it back to a three-point difference at the break. The 76ers turned up their play in the third and outscored the Celtics, 34-21, in the quarter to earn a 10-point advantage heading into the final frame. The Celtics responded with a strong rally in the fourth, but the 76ers stayed a step ahead to close out the win.
Jones shot 9-for-15 from the field and added eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks as he led the way for the 76ers. Jordan Tucker followed up with 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting (5-7 3PM) off the bench, while Judah Mintz racked up 18 points, five assists and four steals.
Jordan Walsh led the Celtics with 18 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 31 minutes. Jaelen House followed up with 17 points, four rebounds and six assists, while Tyler Cook tallied 16 points, four rebounds, two assists and a block.
The 76ers have concluded Las Vegas Summer League play with a 4-1 record, while the Celtics have finished with a 2-3 record.
