Newton took on a larger offensive role with Johnny Furphy, Ben Sheppard and Jarace Walker sitting out. While he struggled from long range, Newton had no troubles getting to the basket and drawing fouls, attempting a game-high 10 free throws. A second round pick in the 2024 NBA draft, Newton isn't expected to see regular action with the Pacers as a rookie.

Sitting out SL Finale
Furphy will join Ben Sheppard and Jarace Walker on the sidelines for Saturday's contest, with the trio getting the night off after playing in each of Indiana's first four Summer league games. Furphy will leave Las Vegas having averaged. 14.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals while hitting 10 of his 35 three-point attempts.

Lands with Indiana
Tominaga played three collegiate seasons at Nebraska but wasn't drafted in June. However, he'll have a chance to compete for a role with the Pacers ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. Over 32 appearances with the Cornhuskers last year, he averaged 15.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 26.0 minutes per game.
