Pre-Draft Outlook
If there’s an organization ripe to go the organic route to team-building, it’s the Hornets, They already have a pair of young foundational pieces in LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller, giving them a jump on that philosophy. With a new ownership and front office set, the Hornets look to start their own “process,” and the realistic fans are likely on board.
The Way To Go
A big man or two could slide to No. 6 and give the Hornets a reason to pause. While the candidates are intriguing, the Hornets are already blessed with Mark Williams and Nick Richards, who need time to develop. Therefore, all things being equal, they could opt for backcourt scoring and a complement to Ball. That makes Kentucky’s Reed Sheppard an ideal candidate. His shooting and decent ball-handling would give the team offense and another scoring option.
