Overcomes thumb injury
While playing on a two-way deal with the Raptors late in the 2023-24 campaign, Gueye missed the team's final two games due to a sprained right thumb. His pair of appearances with the Hornets in California implies that he's moved past the issue, and he'll now set his sights on finding a landing spot with an NBA team ahead of training camp in the fall. Gueye remains an unrestricted free agent after the Raptors waived him in June.

Going overseas after SL
Morgan set a Hornets' Summer League record with 36 points Friday against Portland, going 11-for-11 from the field and drilling seven threes in 23 minutes off the bench. The 31-year-old guard most played in the British Basketball League a season ago but will transition to EuroLeague for the 2024-25 campaign.

Returning to Charlotte
Curry was dealt from the Mavs to the Hornets on Feb. 8 and averaged 9.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in his next eight appearances before being shut down for the rest of the year with an ankle injury. However, Curry evidently showed enough during his brief stint for the team to bring him back for the 2024-25 campaign. He'll face plenty of competition for playing time in Charlotte's backcourt, as he'll go up against the likes of Vasilije Micic, Tre Mann and Reggie Jackson.
