Drops 25 points in Summer League
Hinson scored 21 of his points in the first half before slowing up considerably in the second half. The undrafted rookie out of Pittsburgh inked a two-way deal with the Lakers shortly after the draft and figures to spend most of his rookie campaign in the G League.

Sitting out SL finale
The Lakers are opting to rest Knecht, Bronny James and Maxwell Lewis for Friday's Summer League finale. After starting slow in the California Classic, Knecht showcased the three-level scoring ability that he dominated with at Tennessee last season.

With the Lakers competing in both the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League, James has appeared in seven Summer League contests and several practices over the last two weeks. He'll join Dalton Knecht and Maxwell Lewis in street clothes Saturday.
